I am Irving David and I live in Old Town Square in the heart of the Guild & Hathaway ward.
By profession, I am a media lawyer whose client roster has been described as reading like the "Who's Who" of the British entertainment industry including the legendary Beatles producer, Sir George Martin, impresarios Harvey Goldsmith and Victor Hochhauser, recording artists Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Sex Pistols, Spandau Ballet and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, opera legends, José Carreras and the late Luciano Pavarotti and the Estates of Bob Marley and Sergei Prokofiev.
I also represent countless dancers, singer-songwriters, independent music publishers, record labels and record producers. I advise Scottish Ballet and the British Ballet Association and am a full voting member of BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
I am vice-chairman (Membership) of the Stratford-on-Avon Conservative Association and chairman of the Stratford on Avon Conservative Business Club which seeks to represent the interests of the local business community.
I am a board member of the critically-acclaimed Orchestra of the Swan, a member of the RSC's Artists Circle and a Vice-President of both the Stratford upon Avon Rugby Club and the Stratford upon Avon Cricket Club.
Originally drawn here by my love of Shakespeare and the work of the RSC, I am deeply concerned about the many issues which presently affect Stratford and am committed to ensuring that it retains its unique character and once again becomes a thriving market town.
I stood, unsuccessfully, as the Conservative candidate for the Guild & Hathaway ward in the District and Town Council elections in May 2010 but lost out on each occasion to my Liberal Democrat opponents.
However, I am not a quitter and retain my ambition to serve my local community in Guild & Hathaway at some future - hopefully not too distant - date. I have established a close link with the Conservative District Councillor for our ward, Rev. Cllr. Neville Beamer and will be pleased to pass on to him any concerns or offer any assistance which you may require regarding local issues.
If you would like to arrange for me to call on you, please telephone me on 07836 232 715 or email me at irving@irvingdavid.org.uk
